After successfully completing all the required training he went on to work as a senior Audiologist in the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital,South Devon Hospital and Plymouth Hospital.
He has recently been appointed as Head of Audiology in the North West London Hospitals NHS Trust. Working in NHS Audiology departments has allowed him to improve his understanding of adult rehabilitation as well as learning to assess and treat paediatrics with communication difficulties. He has recently developed a keen interest in balance disorders and works closely with ENT and Audio-Vestibular Medicine in treating patients with these disorders. He is registered with the Registration Council of Clinical Physiologists (RCCP) and British Academy of Audiologists (BAA).
Although Stuart thrived in the public sector he remained interested in the latest technologies often not available on the NHS so in April 2004 he opened The Hearing Aid Centre. Stuart has always been committed to offering the best value and owning his own business has allowed him that freedom.
In his career Stuart has seen many ways in which business's can be managed which led to him starting a Master Business Administration degree at Exeter University in September 2007. Despite many other commitments he is due to graduate with his MBA in January 2011.
Stuart enjoys a range of activities. He is a passionate family man spending as much time as possible with his loved ones. He has many friends and ensures he sees them as regularly as he can. He enjoys several sports including football and squash. Living in Ivybridge means Stuart is near to both the moors and seafront which he regularly visits for walks. Although he works part time in London his heart will always be in Devon where he hopes to one day settle down with his girlfriend.
